Championship Final

The Championship Final is now confirmed to be held at Altofts Cricket Club on September 5th 2010 and will start at 1.00pm.

 

The Final will be held between the top teams of both sections.

 

New Teams Enter New League for 2010

The 2010 AGM, hosted at Ossett CC on Monday 1st February, was a huge success and brought a vast amount of changes to the League; including a new name! The Wakefield Cricket Union has now been renamed and become The Mid Yorkshire Sunday Cricket League. The web address of the website however will be staying as wakefieldcricket.com until further notice. All clubs were keen on the new name and changes were made on the night.

 

We also have two new teams joining the league. The league are proud to announce the arrival of Gomersal and Moorlands CC to take the places of both Darton and Carlton CC who have decided to leave the league this season.

 

There have also been 2 alterations to the rules this season. To encourage more bowlers and greater participation in the game, the maximum amount of overs per bowler per game as changed from 10 to 8 overs and the umpires expenses have risen to £25.00 per match (£35.00 if alone).

 

2010 AGM

We are happy to inform you, that the 2010 Annual General Meeting will be hosted at Ossett C.C. on Monday 1st February.

 

The meeting is scheduled to start at 7.30pm and it is required that representatives from all clubs in attendance.
